Our Team

Margot Kimball
Founder & Director at Large
Margot, the founder of Art for All, has been an active member of the Concord art community for over 30 years. She is passionate about bringing people together and strengthening the foundations of our community through the making and displaying of art.

Sue LaChance
Board Member
Sue first experienced Art for All back when it was known as the Art Gym, attending a vibrant workshop making Valentine’s Day cards. Art for All (and Margot’s) magnetic draw quickly converted her to a regular volunteer, contributor to community art murals, Board member and giant fan. Currently she also chairs the West Concord Cultural District Committee, making a perfect pairing for collaborative community efforts.

Kara Ebbutt
Board Secretary
Kara approaches her board role with a focus on structure and process, and a deep love of spreadsheets. A lifelong maker from a family of the same, she uses her creative energy and systems mindset to organize projects and ensure there’s always a shiny item in the mix.

Roberta Visconti
Studio Coordinator
Roberta joined Art for All inspired by her curiosity and passion for the arts. She brings a diverse background in executive production for film and television, along with valuable experience from her work in a contemporary art gallery in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Mike Sprague
Artist in Residence
Mike is a talented painter, as well as carpenter and gardener and leader of Boy Scouts. You can see three of his paintings at the Dunkin Donuts in Concord Center. He takes commissions - when he isn't too busy at Art For All!

Linda Carmel
Materials Maven
Linda was excited to find Art For All at the beginning of 2023. She relocated from Chapel Hill where she was very active in the art community as chair of the county Artists Guild and president of the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts, an artist-owned gallery. Linda loves to organize and in Art For All, she has found the perfect balance of working with others, involvement in art and enhancing the community she now calls home.

Claire Hwang
Art for All Abilities Apprentice

She came to us through the Launch program at Concord Carlisle High School, a program that helps recent graduates with cognitive differences attain work and life experience. Since 2023, Clare became the first recipient of the Three Stones Gallery Apprenticeship. We are incredibly fortunate to have her working with us making art work and assisting with maintenance of the studio.

Richard Fahlander
Lantern Keeper
Richard is a long-time AfA collaborator and brings a wealth of experience & artistic know-how to everything he does. He spearheaded the 250th Lantern project, and as the Chief Lantern Wrangler he makes sure it appears around town for important events both large and small. When he’s not otherwise engaged with one of his many civic responsibilities, you can find Richard teaching yoga, hosting open-mic nights, or biking the BFRT.

Our Story
Art for All began in January 2019 as Art Gym, a community art space and outreach organization in West Concord. While the name has changed, our goal remains the same: to build connections and strengthen our community by providing an inclusive place of belonging and creativity, and by making collaborative public art works with diverse members of the community. Our first weekly class was Wonderful Wednesdays for people with developmental differences, and our first public artwork was a mural, “Music in the Village,” which is located on the side of Eva’s Little Kitchen in West Concord.

Our History
Art for All has made eight public murals in West Concord, held hundreds of free and low-cost workshops, put up over a hundred exhibits and displays in local venues, and, through the Yard Signs Repurposed Project, placed signs in people’s yards as well. Our Art for All Abilities program for people with developmental differences has met weekly since January 2019. In 2025 we built the Concord 250Lantern, a 10-foot-high piece of public art which has been bringing its message of light, hope and togetherness to dozens of events and organizations.

About 30 people regularly volunteer at Art for All, and another 30 are in the wings. We collaborate with dozens of local businesses, cultural organizations and town programs. We are so grateful to all of you for working with us to bring people together through art-making.

ABOUT

Our Practices
At Art for All, we are committed to eco-friendly practices whenever possible.
We make every effort to put as little paint into the water supply as possible, and many of our supplies and materials are donated, reused, recycled and repurposed.
Join us in our creative quest for sustainability; we welcome donations of art materials!
Our Vision
Art for All is committed to strengthening our community through creative projects and spaces that are available to everyone, whatever their abilities and socio-economic circumstances.
Our vision is to create an art center in West Concord that serves as a welcoming space, where everyone feels included and connected, and which enhances the well-being of the larger community.
We believe that the arts are a powerful tool for creating a caring, connected and thriving community. Making and experiencing art gives people a sense of purpose and belonging.
We fulfill our mission by holding free and low cost workshops, carrying out collaborative public art projects, installing creative displays in local businesses and organizations, and maintaining the Art for All studio as a creative gathering space.
