Winnie Lee - Volunteer

In this sweet video, longtime volunteer Winnie shares her journey with Art for All and how the power of art has transformed both her life and the lives of those she has met along the way. Winnie is the mother of three and grandmother of five. During Covid, she retired from working as an elementary school teaching assistant. Soon after Covid she volunteered for AfA’s Art for All Abilities program. She reflects on what drew her to AfA and how the organization helps people with special needs unlock their potential on a deeper level. She talks about the healing nature of art—how it helps her and others find calmness, express themselves, and leave feeling happier and more connected. Join us in our Art for Healing, Art for Joy, Art for All campaign to continue bringing this healing power of art to our community.
