A Immersive Drawing Experience Marathon
Community Painting, “Minuteman in Wonderland”
Decision fatigue in the attention economy is real. We invite you to elongate your focus and de-frack your mind. Listen to vibrational soundscapes, engage your hands in repetitive work, and experience the flow state in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Join us for a special version of our Immersive Drawing Experience, where art, mindfulness, and community converge in a creative marathon. Over six hours, we will collectively trace and complete an intricate artwork “Minuteman in Wonderland” by local artist, Mike Sprague, culminating in a striking community-made painting.

REGISTER HERE for this timed-entry event, which allows individuals or groups to participate in 1.5-hour guided sessions. The first phase, two seatings (2-3:30 PM and 3:30-5 PM) focuses on tracing and detailing the composition, followed by the “coloring phase” one seating (5:30–8 PM), a structured yet intuitive process akin to paint-by-numbers. No artistic experience needed, just a willingness to focus and create.

Limited spots are available! Reserve your time slot and join this unique creative movement. Each seating is for 8 people and lasts 1.5 hours. Individual tickets or get a group together.

Participants trace the artwork for focus and flow

Participants trace the artwork with focus while listening to a meditative soundscape.

What to Expect:

  • A Calming Atmosphere: Participants will be seated in a dimly lit room, where the only light comes from a projector. The painting image is projected on a large 4x7-foot canvas that is adhered to the tabletop.

  • Soundscape: Gentle music featuring singing bowls and chanting will create a soothing soundscape to engage your brainwaves, encouraging relaxation and heightened focus. Live singing bowls and crystals will add to the soundscape.

  • The Practice: Using the tangle-inspired design projected onto the mural, you’ll let your pen follow intricate patterns, fostering mindfulness and tapping into your "flow state."

  • Shared Creativity: Experience the unique connection of creating alongside others in a shared space, fostering a sense of community through collective art. The artwork will be eventually auctioned off to raise money for Art For All to help support their affordable workshops

Why Participate?

  • Brain Benefits of Doodling: Engaging in repetitive, meditative drawing activates areas of the brain associated with relaxation and focus, helping reduce stress and improve cognitive clarity.

  • The Practice of Prolonged Focus: The deliberate act of tracing and drawing helps train your mind to stay present and immersed, cultivating the "long think"—a state of sustained prolonged concentration often lost in today’s attention economy.

  • Community Connection: Creating together fosters a sense of belonging, amplifying the therapeutic effects of art in a collective setting.

We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the workshop’s objectives, an exploration of the science behind your brain on art, and a discussion of what we aim to achieve together during this 1.5 hour session. This marathon consists of three sessions of 8 participants for 1.5 hours. In total, up to 24 participants will work on the painting for 6 hours to complete it. “Minuteman in Wonderland” will be displayed downtown Concord during the 250th celebrations. A testament to the power of focused, collective creativity. The works will be for sale to subsidize more workshops for those in need.

In this culture of the “Short Form,” we invite you to elongate your focus, quiet your mind, engage your hands, and practice mindfulness in a supportive and inspiring environment.
