It’s up! πŸŽ‰

This past Thursday, the moment had arrived. The six 4 x 8 foot aluminum panels left the studio to get put up on the back of 40 Beharrell Street. Attaching it to an old, warped metal building was an act of creativity and skill. Thank you, once again, Billy Crosby and crew at Crosby Design!

On Friday we made the last adjustments, painting over the screw holes, adding a locomotive image that describes the history of the railroad, and painting on a protective coating. On Saturday we got rained out 😒

But Sunday was a gorgeous day in West Concord on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and the turn out was fabulous.

We were honored to have Representative Simon Cataldo speak on the importance to our community of the BFRT, and of the public murals that Art for All, the West Concord Junction Cultural District Committee, and the Mass Cultural Council have put up in the last four years.

Emily Teller from the Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail announced that the ground breaking for another section of the Trail in Sudbury took place yesterday!

A big shout out here to the wonderful musicians whose music made a beautiful day really exceptional. Maria Frattura sings jazz accompanied by her husband, Keith Kirkpatrick.

So many people, businesses and organizations were crucial to getting this mural completed. I wish we could thank them all, but attentions would waver long before we were through! Here from the mural are acknowledgements of some of the many.
